The Legacy Riders Equestrian Foundation works to expand access to meaningful equestrian experiences for individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity. While many of our programs focus on youth, we recognize that the need for connection, confidence, and healing through horses does not end at a specific age.

Many individuals with disabilities, those facing financial barriers, or those living in geographically isolated communities may have limited access to equestrian programs. Others may have benefited from programs earlier in life but lost access after aging out of traditional services.

Our goal is to help bridge these gaps by creating opportunities for meaningful interaction with horses in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Program Areas

🐎Access to Horses

Providing introductory riding experiences and horse education for individuals who would not normally have access to equestrian programs.

Goals include:

Creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to safely interact with horses in a supportive environment, including youth and adults with disabilities who may benefit from additional support.

Community Barn Days

Educational events that introduce families and community members to horse care, barn safety, and the equestrian lifestyle.

These events also help raise funds that allow us to expand access to equestrian experiences for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
